Seoyon E-Hwa has received the Prime Minister’s Commendation in the New Technology Commercialization category at the 2025 Industrial Technology Advancement Awards. The honor recognizes the company’s continued commitment to eco-friendly technology development and its strong research and development capabilities focused on real-world application.

The “Co-Injection Door Trim Manufacturing Technology Using Recycled End-of-Life Vehicle Materials” developed by Seoyon E-Hwa earned New Excellent Technology (NET) certification in 2024. This technology and other successful commercialization achievements were recognized as exemplary cases during the government award review process.

The technology applies virgin materials to the exterior surface while using recycled materials recovered from end-of-life vehicles for the internal structure. This approach reduces the use of new materials and raises recycled resource utilization to about 50 percent through an environmentally friendly injection molding process. The application potential continues to expand across a wide range of automotive interior and exterior components.

This Prime Minister’s Commendation holds special meaning as it formally recognizes Seoyon E-Hwa’s innovation in eco-friendly process technology and its proven commercialization results. The award was presented to Kang Sang-wook (Head of the Advanced Research Lab) who led the development and commercialization of the technology and was recognized for advancing sustainable interior material solutions.

Seoyon E-Hwa will continue to strengthen its research and development capabilities to advance eco-friendly materials develop recycling-based manufacturing technologies and secure sustainable mobility solutions.
